Running an organisation like Asylum Welcome depends upon support from the community and from grant-making bodies interested in working on asylum issues.

Last year around 70% of funding came from a wide range of Trusts and Foundations. These include 29 May Charitable Trust, the Beatrice Laing Trust, the Church Urban Fund, the Community Fund (Lottery), the Eleanor Rathbone Charitable Trust, Oxford City Council, the Tolkien Trust, the Tudor Trust, the W.F. Southall Charitable Trust, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the Lloyds TSB Foundation, the Henry Smith Charity, the Cotmore Trust, the Cumber Family Charitable Trust, and the Garfield Weston Foundation.

Areas of our work that are of interest to grant makers are:

- advice and guidance work

- youth work

- family work

- detainee work

- education work

Our work is regularly audited by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner, and we undertake reviews of aspects of our work. All client work is monitored on a monthly basis. Reports to funders are prepared in agreement with funders.

For further information on opportunities to fund aspects of our work, please contact Richard Taylor or phone 01865 559 631.
